• The front and back of a government ID, passport, or driver's license, and a live selfie, submitted only when you complete identity verification

Transaction Information

• Listings, rental and purchase requests, chat messages, delivery addresses, and wallet activity (earnings, deposits, cashout requests)

Usage Information

• Activity within the app, device and app version, and push-notification tokens

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account
• verify your identity before your first rental, purchase, or listing
• enable communication between users
• facilitate rental and sale transactions
• coordinate delivery and logistics, including with third-party courier partners
• process wallet earnings and cashouts
• provide customer support and respond to disputes
• send you transaction and account notifications

3. Identity Verification Documents

Documents you submit for identity verification are reviewed only by authorized Closette staff, are stored securely, and are never shown to other users or displayed publicly. Only a verified badge is visible on your profile once approved.

4. Phone Number & Delivery Information

Your phone number and delivery address are used for account functionality and to coordinate rental and sale deliveries. They may be shared with our delivery partners (such as Aramex) only when necessary to complete a pickup or delivery, including cash-on-delivery collection. We do not publicly display your phone number or address to other users.

5. Financial & Wallet Information

Wallet balances, earnings, and cashout requests are used only to calculate and process what you're owed. Security deposits are held as part of a transaction and are not treated as Closette's or any user's revenue unless a damage claim is approved.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only:

• with delivery partners, to complete a rental or sale delivery
• with service providers who help us run the app (such as hosting, analytics, and push notifications)
• when required by law or a legal process

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including restricting identity documents to authorized admin review only. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We keep your account information as long as your account is active. Records connected to a completed transaction (such as amounts, parties, and dates) may be retained after account deletion as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, even if your account or listing is later removed.

9. Your Choices

You can:

• update or edit your profile information at any time
• request deletion of your account from within the app

10. Children's Privacy

Closette is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app.
